Aww, it's so cute! One of the other employees took it from an associate of hers, who she felt was mistreating it. It was pretty timid at first, but it's since gotten over that, and proceeded to conquer the house.
Yesterday, I visited the sulfur springs near Moyobamba with my housemates.
Another springs, another giant reptile eating Nathan...
In addition to the springs (which were pretty small), there were a series of small waterfalls, and a playground.
Then, that night, we went to the carnival (celebrating the anniversary of Moyobamba's founding).
Whee!
This was a lot of fun. Also, I got to eat Peruvian carnival food, and check out all the carnival games (including dozens of foosball tables), and a large market (doesn't everyone want to buy new shoes at the fair?).

Pretty big carnival for a town that size. But I guess it's the biggest city for miles.
