We hiked to the top of the island, to see some ruins.
We each spent the night with a different local family, which was interesting: we got to eat the local food, then went to a festival with dancing and music that night. It was a unique experience, but also somewhat awkward - spending the night with a couple of random strangers, with totally different customs. The husband ate his dinner at the table, the wife sitting on the floor. When I pointed out that there was plenty of room at the table, the husband just said that was the custom there. Okay...
The next day, we got back on the boat, and headed to Taquile Island.
I'm actually not totally sure why we stopped here.
It was fine, but there wasn't really anything to do, and we spent a lot of time here, just sitting around and drinking tea (below). I think they felt like they needed to stall our return to Puno, so we'd feel we got our money's worth.

Your tea is made from... a twig from a tree?
Interesting home-stay. I'm sure the locals need the money.
I never saw your boat. Or was it that thing with the two cats?
Some pretty scenery
