Arequipa

Today was my last day of this portion of my trip. I took a bus from Colca Canyon to Arequipa, where this was sitting next to my luggage:

Arequipa was a nice town. I didn't have a lot of time there, but walked around a bit, explored a monastery, and ate some vegan sushi.

At the monastery:

Hey, why does Judas have darker skin than the other disciples? Or am I reading too much into this?

After that, I took a plane back to Lima, then spent hours trying to unsnarl the Peruvian air travel system, to arrange a new flight to Tarapoto. After several tries and a long delay, I finally made it back!

I've got a few more weeks in Peru, but this has been my last big trip before I return to the U.S., and it's been a lot of fun!
