Aguas Calientes

Today, I took the train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes.

Aguas Calientes is a small tourist town, accessible only by rail or Incan trail, just next to Machu Picchu.

I had the afternoon to explore, and walked along the railroad tracks to a nearby waterfall.

After a couple of very busy days, it was nice to have a day just to wander around and explore. Tomorrow: Machu Picchu!

Nice train.
I hope the bird got off the tracks in time.

Wow! I would love that train ride - although I would be nervous for that cute little bird. 😀
