Sacred Valley

Today I did the Sacred Valley tour out of Cusco. This was a guided tour, but I quickly abandoned my guide, after he spent twenty minutes at the first site talking about Incan astrology and numerology (it's not that I'm not interested in this, but I really wanted to get out and explore the ruins). So, after that, I just asked him at each site what time we needed to meet back at the bus, and then went off on my own.

The ruins at Chinchero:

At Ollantaytambo:

We visited a handful of smaller sites too, and ended the day at some church (I never got the name).

Very impressive ruins. A huge amount of work went into that.
