'The problem is, there is no problem'

'I'm sorry?'

I was in the Anchorage Airport, talking to the Delta customer service representative. 'International flights require a bag tag remark in the online system, to record potential problems. But you're not checking any bags, the system isn't letting me type n/a for the note, and I don't know how to override it. So, the problem is, there is no problem.'

'I see.' Pause. So, what should I do?'

'We can get you as far as the Minneapolis airport.  They should be able to fix it.'

'Wonderful.'

Minneapolis: 'The problem is, there is no problem.'

Dammit.

They did eventually figure out a way to establish that there not being a problem was not, in fact, a problem, but it took them the better part of an hour, at two different airports.
