History Lessons

One of the first lessons learned, by any student of history, is that early humans were deeply, deeply bored.

7000 BC:

"What do you wanna do?"

"I dunno, what do you wanna do?"

"I dunno." "We could put 4000 massive boulders into straight lines."

"Yeah, okay."

The result: Carnac.

You have to wonder why they couldn't do something practical with their time, like declaring war on their neighbors.

In general this area is all fenced off, but they opened a section of it today for - you guessed it - an easter egg hunt:

Nice that you got to get close to the stones. I visited Stonehenge years ago, before they fenced it all off, but even then, they'd put down gravel all around. Carnac still looks kind of natural with the grass and bushes. Odd date for an Easter egg hunt: in between the Eastern and Western Easter dates. And where's the giant bunny?
