Les Iles Sanguinaires

This afternoon, we visited Les Iles Sanguinaires (the Bloody Islands). Besides the beautiful views, the peninsula and islands are each home to one of the eighty-odd towers built by the Genoese in the 1500's, as protection against the Barbary pirates. We drove out here from Ajaccio, and spent a couple hours wandering around and admiring the views.
