Bonifacio to Ajaccio

We spent yesterday afternoon and this morning driving from Bonifacio, where we started our trip, to Ajaccio, midway up the western coast of the island. Along the way, we took a couple of short hikes around a cluster of prehistoric sites, stopped at a winery and sampled some local Corsican wines, and then spent the night in Sartène, a small town full of winding alleys and crooked stairs.

My parents didn't go to this one, because the path was flooded:

Sartène:

Once in Ajaccio, we made a stop at Napoleon's childhood home, where he was born and spent the first years of his life.

This is the room where Napoleon was born:

The sausage guillotine. We didn't buy one.

And we saw wild boars there. They ran away from us.
