Bonifacio

This morning we visited Bonifacio. This town was beautiful!

It was also incredibly windy; we had to fight the wind to get close enough to the cliffs to take pictures.

After wandering around the town for a while, we took the ancient stairs down the cliffs to the ocean, where a narrow path carved into the rock led to the site of a medieval well, fed by rainwater from the cliffs above.

Throughout our lunch, a gull imperiously demanded our attention (and food).

Nathan did not mention that it was 187 steps down and of course we had to make it back up!!
