I almost didn’t go on this hike. I had signed up to do it yesterday, but it was cancelled. I’d thought today maybe I should do something different (‘Do I really need ANOTHER hike to ANOTHER lake?’). But I’d heard a lot of good things about the Laguna 69 hike, and after a bunch of research into other possibilities, I finally decided to go ahead and do this one.
I am extremely glad I did:
This was a LOT of work (10 miles, going from 12,500 to 15,000 feet), but it was one of the most stunningly beautiful hikes I’ve ever done. It was definitely not just another lake!

It looks gorgeous.
Beautiful! Estoy celos!
Was the burro on the hike, too? Or did you pass it on the way?
Passed it on the way back.
Wow, incredibly beautiful!
Are you living at 12,500 feet where you are staying?
No, about 3,000.
