Cañón del Sonche
This weekend I took a van to Chachapoyas, about 6 hours from Moyobamba. I just had a few hours free before sunset, so I took a colectivo out to Huancas, and from there walked out to Cañón del Sonche, and spent an hour or so hiking along the canyon edge, before returning to Chachapoyas.
This was a nice warm-up for the rest of the weekend.

How many skeletons down in the canyon before they put up the railing?
I was surprised they had a railing, actually. They don't, as a general rule.
I can't imagine standing there without a railing ....
