Today I went to a penguin colony.

It was amazing.

You'll just have to take my word for it, though, because I have no photos to commemorate the occasion: I'd had my camera charging all night, and it was only once I'd boarded the tour boat that I realized that instead of being completely charged, it was now completely drained. I met some nice people on board, though, who promised to e-mail me some photos, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that (doubly so, as I have since inadvertently lost THEIR e-mail address).

Anyway, in the meantime, here are some photos of Punta Arenas:

(Not penguins).

And, proving once again that Americans are being hopeless outdone in the cemetery department:

And, yes, that gravestone is fuschia.

Or possibly magenta.

Maybe penguins go through a flying phase before they morph into swimmers.
It looks like the fuschia grave has a puppet theater in it. Maybe he only puts on shows after midnight.

Too bad about your camera frustrations.
