Lamas

Saturday afternoon, I visited the town of Lamas. As luck would have it, this was the weekend of the Corpus Christi festival, featuring dozens of stalls offering local foods.

To your questions: yes, they were still alive, and no, I did not try any.

Here, a statue tells the tale of the founding of the town:

I don't know about you, but that definitely makes me want to go out and buy some Air Jordans.

I also visited a local castle, constructed a few years ago by a wealthy Italian businessman.

Also part of the tour: an overlook of the town, shops, and listless native dancers (mostly young children) who clearly wanted to be elsewhere.

Ceiling noted and idea filed away for when I have a house. Personally, I would add glow-in-the-dark paint for the owl eyes.
