Laguna Azul

On Sunday, I visited the Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon; renamed for marketing purposes from el Lago Sauce: Willow Lake). Getting there took a couple hours' drive in a van, with a stop in the middle to be ferried over a river:

Once there, we had lunch and some time to lounge around, before getting a tour of the lake.

Here is where the local army trains (they need to jump off the diving boards, swim across the lake, then run around to the base on the other side):

In the middle of the tour, the weather changed rapidly; it was pouring down rain by the end.

However, we did have the opportunity to sample some more local delicacies before we left:

Also, for a small fee you could hold a sloth.

(I felt bad for the sloth, and didn't want to hold it. It kept crying).

Interesting contents of the bottles. Probably not a place Mom would want to go wine tasting.
