Tingana

Tomorrow I leave Peru, so today I went on one last excursion, to Tingana. After living at the edge of the jungle for months, I haven't spent a whole lot of time actually in the jungle, so this seemed like a necessary trip. We took an hour-long cab ride, then a sunrise boat ride into Tingana.

This was really fun: we swung off the tree a good 20 feet off the ground (photos of this are on someone else's camera, and I hope to get them soon).

Then, a canoe ride back to the cabins at Tingana, and finally another boat ride back to our cab, to return to Moyobamba.





Just as we were getting out of the boat, a group of people nearby starting shrieking frantically for us to stay away. The reason:
