I didn't keep a blog on my trip to Argentina (April 5 - May 5, 2023), but afterwards decided I should record the basics here, to help me remember later. I tend to be too busy when I'm traveling to both plan out what I'm going to do the next day, and sort photos and write up what I did that day. I just realized in October 2024 that I had never done this for this trip, and decided to go back and record what I could remember. There are some details I'm already forgetting, so it's a good thing I didn't wait longer.
I started my trip flying into El Calafate, where I had planned to go next on my last trip to Argentina, before the pandemic started and I had to fly back. I took a tour (bus, then boat) out to El Perito Moreno Glacier.
The next day, I took a bus out to El Chalten, where my last trip had ended. I had already been here, and had less time on this trip, since I had to take the bus in and out in one day, but it was great to revisit my favorite spot from my last trip. The time of year was different on this trip, and the fall colors were beautiful.
This remains one of the prettiest places I've ever been. I was hesitant to come back, since I had thought it would be a retread of something I had already done, but I'm really glad I did!
