I found my CD case!
Today, on my way to the library, I decided to stop one final time to look for the case, just on the off chance that with more of the vegetation dead it would be easier to look. I'd already been there on half a dozen occasions, and spent hours poking around through the bushes, without success. I thought I'd just search for a half hour or so, and then say goodbye, once and for all, and have some closure on the subject. And there, on the ground, in plain view from the bridge twenty feet above, was the case. It was drenched through, but the CD's all seem to be okay. Sometimes persistence does pay off...
